Federal Employees in the Chesapeake Region (Baltimore & Eastern Shore) can now consider Cedar Light Grove #44385 on your CFC form.

CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (September 1st to December 15th) support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world. (taken from CFC website)

This is huge news! To my knowledge CedarLight Grove, ADF is the first Pagan Charity to be on the listing!

CedarLight Grove is continuing their series of one large workshop a month for 2010 by presenting a Personal Finance 101 workshop on April 11th 2010 presented by Crystal Groves.

The cost for this workshop is only $10 ($5 for CLG members) and RSVP's will be required due to limited spacing.

If you are interested in attending, please see our website for details: http://www.cedarlightgrove.org/workshop-personal-finance-101/

Don't Forget:
If you are attending our Ostara High Rite, we are still collecting non-perishable foods for donating to needy families. Please consider bringing some with you to support this charity event.

This coming Saturday, December 19 2009, we will be having our Yule High Rite. Norse pantheon and all night vigil. The main ritual will start at 4PM and briefing at 3:30, please arrive at 3PM to get settled and be ready for briefing.

The ritual will be indoors because of the recent weather and possible freezing of our grove space. We would not want anyone to fall on ice and be injured.

y'all have probably seen this on the grove forum, on ADF-announce, and/or on [info]adf but here it is again...

Hello ADF! (And especially anyone who is *not* a member of the Hellenic kin!)

This is just an announcement to let you know that the Hellenic Kin, also known as Oi Asproi Koukouvayies, or the White Owls Kin is always open to all members of ADF who are interested in ancient Greek gods and religion and their place in an ADF context.

Have you worshiped the Greek gods for years? Or did they just catch your eye? Recently attended a ritual in their honor and want to know more? Come and join us with your questions, thoughts, knowledge and experiences!

The Kin page, including information on how to join, is located here: http://www.adf.org/members/kins/white-owls/

Due to an underwhelming response from people on any parts that they might be interested in taking for tonight's members-only Lampteria ritual, I've taken the liberty of writing up parts which have not been claimed and posting them on the grove forum under the Lampteria discussion.

So, if you'd like to do one of these parts, comment on the forum as to which one so others who look after you can know what's still available. Feel free to use what I've posted (two parts are not written by me, they're parts f Homeric hymns) or write your own, but bring them tonight. Jack is going to be telling us the story, and Chrissy is honoring the nature spirits. Other than that, most parts are up for grabbing.
